A smart site, on the field, to check out is the educational area with featured booths by the EAA, CAP, and all of the Military Branches. Also, stopover by the Trenton Flyers booth and see Dave Gardner, who will be sharing his 5,000 mile flight event commemorating the Wright Brother's flight. The Greg Hodges Memorial Tent

The Greg Hodges Memorial Tent is in memory of Greg Hodges, an outstanding aviator and a huge community man. Here you will find one of the best seats in the house for watching the air show. Tickets for this seating are $50.00 per person, per day, and may be purchased at the gate.  Chairs and tables are set up right at the edge of the air box for an excellent view of the airshow. The tent is located right behind this viewing area and inside you will find a tasty assortment of refreshments and food.
We plan to provide viewing of the air show from inside the tent this year, that is if we can find a large enough TV.  Also, included with your Greg Hodges Memorial Tent ticket is preferred parking and your very own port-a-toilet! Tickets can be purchased when you enter the gates or you can upgrade your regular ticket at the Greg Hodges Memorial Tent. (If you paid $15 at the gate to get into the air show and want to upgrade to the GHMT just pay an additional $35 for a GREAT seat & deal!!).

Volunteers

For all of our wonderful volunteers, Sconyers is hosting a volunteer party at the Chairman's Tent on Saturday at 7:00 PM. You know Sconyers makes the best Bar-B-Que! Also, there will be a D.J. providing music for your entertainment. The Skyfest would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers that work at the air show - many of them volunteering their time year after year. Some of them have been with us since the very first Fly-In. We provide food, drinks, t-shirts, and much more for our volunteers to show our appreciation for their time and effort.  THANK-YOU Volunteers!!

Civil Air Patrol

We are highly appreciative of the Civil Air Patrol, GA Wing. As at all air shows, airplanes must be in motion at some point in time. This Civil Air Patrolmovement, coupled with thousands of people, who sometimes don't realize the dangers that accompany the movement of aircraft, could lead to some serious accidents. Enter the CAP. They accompany every moving aircraft, keeping our patrons out of harms way. Also, they politely monitor the fact that there is no smoking allowed around the aircrafts. We are lucky to have a squadron stationed right here at Daniel Field.

The Boy Scouts

Each year, hundreds of Boy Scouts camp out at the Boshears Skyfest. They provide numerous and invaluable services for the air show. We are honored by their presence and welcome them each year. For more information, contact Dan MacEachern. Click here to download the Boy Scouts Registration Form for the Boshears Skyfest 2008 (form not available at this time). Scouts Page.
